Purchase Questions

We adjust our lead times frequently and list them below the price on individual product pages. Keep in mind that our lead times can fluctuate based upon volume of orders, and transit time will also need to be considered. Your patience is valued while our skilled craftspeople create each product with meticulous attention to detail to make authentic-looking wood, brick and stone materials.

Once your order ships you will receive an email confirmation that contains the tracking information as well as any receiving information that may be pertinent to the delivery.

For large orders, or orders shipping to AK and HI you will receive an error message at checkout unable to obtain your quote. Please contact our customer experience and design support team at 800-651-4223 Monday-Friday from 9AM to 5PM EST for personal assistance and to complete your order.

When you checkout the shipping method will be shown.  Usually it will be UPS or ABF.  ABF is our truck carrier of choice and will transport larger (either dimensionally larger or quantity) orders.

Typically, beams/mantels under 8 feet long and smaller panel orders will ship via a small package carrier such as UPS. Orders of a large number of panels, or some of our bigger panels (such as reclaimed barn wood or river rock) will ship via LTL common carrier (typically ABF) with a liftgate. Orders of beam products that are larger than 8 feet will ship via LTL common Carrier (typically ABF). Please review all of our shipping information.

Yes, however, please keep in mind that each of our products are custom made and handcrafted to order. This results in a specific return policy in which fees will apply. Customers requesting a return authorization will need to contact our customer experience team at 800-651-4223 Monday-Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM EST. If a Return Material Authorization is granted the customer will have 30 days from the issued date to return the product. All returned products must be received in resalable condition. Once the product is received, it will be inspected. Upon confirmation of resalable condition, a credit will be issued less a restocking fee of up to 25%. If the product was returned due to an error on our part, a credit will be issued in full. Please read more information on returns in our return policy.

We highly recommend obtaining samples of any product prior to ordering.  This allows you to see the colors and witness the amazing textures in your space and lighting. Since every monitor is different, this is the most effective way to be sure you get exactly what you want. The cost of up to 5 samples will be credited towards your full product purchase.

Sample Questions

Yes. Shop Barron Designs full variety sample selection. We highly recommend ordering samples of any product you are considering so that you can see the colors firsthand, and witness the amazing textures. Since every monitor and lighting situation is different, this is the most effective way to ensure you get exactly what you want. The cost of up to 5 samples will be credited towards your full product purchase.

After your sample order ships, you will receive a promo code via email, redeemable towards your order of full size products (excluding barn doors & barn door hardware). Redeeming the code at checkout will deduct the purchase price of up to five (5) samples from your total cost. Please note, you will need to contact customer service if you need to use multiple promo codes.

Each sample is a piece of Barron Designs’ actual product. They are either manufactured, or cut from a product that didn’t meet our full quality standards.

Faux wood beam samples are usually 6” x 6” x 9”. In addition, for our faux wood beam samples, we offer color chips in 4” x 4”. Our color chips are effective for viewing our finishes in your space’s lighting, to ensure you receive the exact color you are looking for. Our faux beam samples allow you to see a sample of the grain and textures of our faux wood beams. Keep in mind, this is just a section of our full faux wood beams. Shop our faux wood beam samples.

Our wood samples are typically a 6” x 6” swatch cut from real product. These swatches may vary in size but give you a firsthand look at the stunning texture of our realistic wood beams. Our faux panel samples are typically 8” x 8” pieces cut from a full faux panel. From stone, brick, wood and rock, experience the look and feel found in authentic building materials firsthand with our panel samples. Each hand painted for custom detail. Shop all of our panel samples.

Product Questions

Our faux products are made from a high-density polyurethane. Our wood beams and columns are constructed of western cedar. All hand crafted by in house artisans located here in the United States.

Yes, our product can be used in exterior applications. We have a variety of exterior ideas and inspiration for you to view.


All painted products are finished with Sherwin Williams coatings that contain UV inhibitors. Barron Designs suggests adding an UV topcoat for enhanced UV protection on products used on the exterior of buildings. This can be factory applied for an additional charge.  While the UV topcoat provides enhanced protection, some degree of fading should still be expected.  Panels & beams still need to be inspected yearly for any paint that has been removed and touched up.  We recommend re-applying a UV topcoat every 3 – 5 years to maintain an additional degree of protection. No, our products are not fireproof, however, we do offer Class A fire-rated polyurethane for an additional charge. Read more about the Class A fire-rated polyurethane and our warranty in our terms and conditions.

Our products can be used in these applications but with restrictions. Although our products are incredibly realistic, keep in mind that they are not real brick, stone or rock. They are manufactured utilizing high-density polyurethane and have similar burning characteristics to real wood and should be considered combustible. Most of our products can be used around a fireplace opening/insert, and/or stove, provided you follow the fireplace insert/stove manufacturer's specifications for required clearances. When using our products around an open hearth where there will be a "live flame" (i.e., wood, coal, etc.), you must use some type of a stone or non-flammable border. Yes. Depending on if the product is a beam or panel cutting will be a little different. Our skilled artisans assemble our beams with concealed screws to create that authentic look. We recommend using a hand saw (not power tools) when cutting them. You may locate screws with a stud finder before cutting. Our panels do not have concealed screws, and can be cut with any wood cutting saw with a finish blade.
